Collins Aerospace has recently revealed the relocation of its manufacturing facility in Singapore to a new state-of-the-art site in Seletar Aerospace Park. This move signifies a substantial investment of $250 million, enhancing the company’s capabilities and reinforcing its dedication to innovation and excellence within the aerospace sector.

The upcoming facility is scheduled to commence construction in Q4 of 2025 and is projected to be finished by 2027. Located approximately 15 miles (24 kilometers) from Collin Aerospace’s current Bedok facility, Seletar Aerospace Park houses some of the world’s leading aerospace companies globally. Production at the new site is anticipated to begin in 2028, with both facilities operating in parallel during a multi-year transition period.

In the media release, Henry Brooks, President, Power & Controls for Collins Aerospace said, “This new facility will be a hub of innovation, leveraging cutting-edge technology to support aerospace components’ design, development and production. Our investment in Seletar Aerospace Park underscores our long-term commitment to Singapore and to providing our customers with the highest quality products and services.”

Collins holds a significant historical background in Singapore, being among the pioneering aerospace companies to set up in the nation back in 1975. Across the last five decades, the Bedok location has forged strong partnerships as a supplier to major airframe manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, and Gulfstream.

Ms Cindy Koh, Executive Vice President of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), highlights that “this significant investment is testament to Singapore’s strengths as a location for advanced manufacturing and is a good example of how we are partnering with leading aerospace companies on their long-term growth. We look forward to the new manufacturing capabilities and technologies that will be introduced in this facility.”

To ensure supply security and manufacturing continuity, product transfer from Bedok to Seletar will follow Collins’ AS9100-compliant work transfer process, incorporating risk mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance to customer contractual obligations.

“We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible for our customers. Our focus remains on delivering on our commitments and maintaining the high standards of quality and service that our customers expect.” said Aaron Tan, Senior Director for Global Ops, Singapore Operations at Collins.
